Doktor A Solo Show!
Opening Reception Saturday, Aug 13th, 6pm – 9pm.
The master of steampunk toys returns to the East coast of the USA, after almost 10 years, with his solo exhibition “The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be”. A retro-futuristic look back at how the present doesn’t quite deliver on the promises of the past. A tongue-in-cheek view of our own world through mechanical eyes from an alternative history.
UK-based artist Doktor A, is best known for his Mechtorians – retrobotic characters from all walks of life. This show will see him debuting brand new original pieces, as well as a selection of smaller creations, including resin multiples, customized toys, and graphic artworks.
The opening reception will be free to the public and take place on Aug 13th, 2022, from 6-9 pm.
The works will remain on display until Sept 2nd, 2022.
