When I got yellow I thought to do a big smiley face of some kind the idea came after, seeing the piece of wood I’d be using I did some sketching and I came up with this concept, I really wanted to make a detailed woodcarving and hands are something that are often what people consider challenging, making the ball a little round and squished also added a fun challenges. Overall I’m very happy with this piece and think it’s very complete.
