About Little Lazies:
Little Lazies are creepy-cute creatures created by Leah Lester, a sculptor based in Asheville, North Carolina. How did it all start? Once upon a time, Leah graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Old Dominion University where she found not only a love for art, but specifically sculpture. After college, she went on to become a full-time cake decorator who enjoyed sculpting out of sugar-paste for the cakes she designed. Then, one sunny day in June 2010, she thought to herself, “I think this cake should have a monster on top!” So, she did just that… creating monster after monster out of sugar. Soon after, she was encouraged to create these sweet creatures out of clay instead; sculptures that would last a lifetime. Feeling inspired, Leah bought some polymer clay and let her imagination run wild! She blended her years of cake decorating experience with her love for sculpting, bringing about a perfect concoction of her two passions. With that, her work evolved into what is today – Little Lazies!
